The First Fordmobile


Today in History, July 15: 1903 – Chicago dentist Ernst Pfenning pays $850 for the very first car produced by the new Ford Motor Company, a Fordmobile, or Model A. Not the Model A most of us are familiar with; that one would come in 1927. The roofless car could manage a whopping 30 mph.
